Donna Weiss

Donna Weiss was the founding chairman, and remains director, of Communities In Schools of Los Angeles (CISLA). She serves on the Communities In Schools national organization’s Governance Committee, and chairs its Student Supports Committee. From 2001 to 2008, Ms. Weiss was a managing director of Midstream Partners, LLC, a private equity firm which makes equity investments in, and provides advisory services to, small and midsize oil and gas companies. Prior to joining Midstream, Ms. Weiss was an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where she specialized in international project finance transactions. In addition to her work with Communities In Schools, Ms. Weiss serves on the Brown University Leadership Council and Women’s Leadership Council. Ms. Weiss holds a law degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s degree with honors from Brown University. She is married and has a son and daughter.
